But these posts started with some non specified allegation of our fans behaving badly and I queried why they should be grassed up and what they had done. I think at times we are too keen to report our own fans for what are often minor transgressions.

I’ve been attending Norwich away games for 25 years now and have never seen a group of our fans subject a young girl to any kind of prolonged verbal sexual abuse as suggested here. And I’m sorry but I do think context is relevant. Some teenagers (girls and boys) have potty mouths snd it’s not inconceivable that some group of 14/15 year olds that sit right next to the away fans at West Ham regularly dish out abuse/wind them up. I would still regard fans chanting stuff back in that scenario as being very different to a group of fans subjecting a girl to unprovoked abuse.
