We were about evens to stay up/go down at the start and we still are (or should be).

If we go down we will have to sell our best. But we will then have a real war chest by Championship standards and I bet at least one "obvious leaver" will actually not leave (couldn't guess which one though). Cue another season near the top of what is frankly the better league to be in anyway.

If we stay up then we can invest more in our infrastructure and start to ratchet up quality in our squad. Eventually we'll have That Season and go back down I have no doubt.

Either way though I agree with (nearly) everything that's been said about our midfield today and though I hate any game we lose I'm very happy with where we are and what we're doing. If we need to change tictacs we will, within the bounds of Farkeball and the limits of our squad.

Of course there are frustrations but apart from the commercial side (f**king fan tax nonsense) and the f**king betting w**ker sponsors, I'm completely 100% supportive of what our club is doing.

Today is still a bit gutting though. But we only need 3-4 points from the first five games or so really and we get an easier run after.
