You've missed the point of the discussion which was whether it is right to hold a referendum on country wide issue.
Their right to a vote is just as equal to anyone else's right to vote.
But allowing 650 MP's to decide the future of this country without consulting the public is not democratic.
Similar to if the Scottish parliament decided to withdraw from the act of union without consulting the Scottish people.
Just because people may or may not of voted a different way to you doesn't give you the right to belittle them and their opinion. The only way we progress is by open dialogue, debate and consensus.
Far to many people nowadays entrenched in their positions, receiving their news from their preferred media outlet's without acknowledging that people's votes and people's rights above all should be respected.
