Friend of mine had a mare when entering from Jordan (I think)

Said the immigration post was in the middle of nowhere and they suddenly shut it early, leaving everyone there completely f**ked and forced to go back. WHen my friend protested it was unfair he was insulted and threatened - he's extremely pacific and easygoing.

When he got back to the UK he wrote to the British Ambassador who said he'd take up the case (he's well connected) and he later discovered he'd been placed on some ban list to enter Israel. Charming place. Fucked if I'd go
