Basically, a massive pile of extra work has come in - really long-winded, tedious stuff - but it might well work in my favour as it means they'll need more people to do it. And seeing as I already know how to do it, they'll probably keep me on.
So I'm trying to work out whether to ask for a long (3 months or so) extension to my temp contract, or a permanent job, after trying to sell them the idea of keeping me on of course (which hopefully won't be difficult).
Otherwise I'm applying for a training course with a national newspaper (the closing date isn't until after I find out about my course funding, which is good) and there's one or two other options.
