when I worked for a bank it was something of a hot issue in terms of balancing the drive for digital/cashless efficiency vs not leaving behind vulnerable customers, (a still significant chunk of the) elderly and those unable to access card-based products.
It's why the likes of (say) barclays spend so much on advertising to and support for non-digital savvy customers
