In the Arkles before the game, the Scouser on the receiving end of the "we pay your

benefits" just sighed and responded with a song about us shagging our sisters, and I felt that summed up very nicely the pantomime and meaninglessness of the whole thing.

Have to say that every single local I met before or after the game was nothing but welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. (But I still yelled at them from the stands).
