I doubt whether anyone voted for no immigration. Certainly I've never encountered anyone who did.

More scientists doesn't mean more immigration. Just more scientists.

I suppose, living in Holland, you don't meet many people who voted at all, one way or the the other, and if they did so are extremely likely to have voted to remain.
