Will the Athletic (And MJB therein) get more exclusives

Right now it seems to be more about the depth of coverage so I’m seeing this just as more detailed writing on one club. Is the assumption that these are the journalists that people will turn to first? And/Or because of their focus they’ll have more time to investigate? Or is just 2.50 a month to read long stories.
