Seriously, none of his frustrations there are new, they have been public knowledge for years. Did he simply not do any due diligence?

He must have known that even if he escaped relegation last season that there'd be bugger all money to push on.

It didn't make any sense at the time, it makes even less sense now.

The only conclusions I can draw from this are that (a) that Lambert is utterly incompetent and really got lucky with us (b) they are going down again if they don't replace him.

If your leader doesn't even believe you can do it, how is he going to inspire those inexperienced players to perform above their ability? He clearly has no faith in them. How motivating.
