be dismissed as ‘happy clapping’ by some on here.

I remember your report after we played Cardiff in the League Cup last year and feeling quietly excited by the potential you were describing.

Watching on telly last night, the first half looked great at times but it definitely felt that some of the team were not quite up to speed and had missed out on pre-season games. At our best last season, we were such a purring machine. Sometimes we passed so quickly I could work out where the ball was. We’re not quite there yet but I’m sure we’re on the way!
