In truth, we bossed the game when he was paired with trybull so I guess that looks a strong pairing.

Did his usual stuff, nice tidy passing keeping things ticking over, recycling the ball well.

With Cantwell really busting a gut in front of him and Lewis/onel looking superb on the left, I'm not sure it gave him chance to shine. He blazed a shot over from a decent position. He looked thereabouts fitness wise and it was a good run out for him.

We have a wealth of talent in the centre of the park and he's undoubtedly going to be key for us. I guess what he mainly did was help us run them ragged in the first half.

Most of the atalanta team looked like they were blowing out of their arse in the runnup to half time.

Their team was Big and (second half) fast and clinical. No surprise they finished third in italy and are in the CL. We controlled the first half though and apart from the Klose brain fade and the various experiments around the park I think in a real match we would have run them close.

Big kudos to their small band of fans too. They sang loud and proud almost all of the match.
