It's weird (to me) that no one mentions how many players they had on loan last season.

Most of their signings (actually all bar a winger and a central midfielder by my count) are cancelling out loan players who played significant parts in their season.

So the fact we've only signed four players but kept the whole rest of our squad (which was already better than Villa's) looks like a lot compared to them.

Sheff utd also had a few loan players.

I would still like us to sign a defensive midfielder.
