He did try tbf, but they didn’t seem to want to follow the points he was making.

They seemed a bit Jimmish in the way they were equating spending big money with ambition. Dave Freezer did try to explain that doesn’t always work (in fact they acknowledged it by mentioning Fulham!) And also how important it is that we keep winning team together – a team that we think are already good enough for the Premier League.

I’d have also liked him to add that we are signing players but not for mega bucks and actually this turned out to be a pretty good strategy last season.
