I have a pair of friends who are locked in a battle to visit the most nations

a qualifying visit must include spending money outside the airport in local currency.

I'm not sure where they currently stand but they were both above 130 last time I asked. Last trip I knew of was a gruelling 24 hour trip to São Tome in the atlantic, which I didn't even know was a country in its own right.
