I do agree with you, the old system could of been changed.

Mainly so that ST holders do not have any priority to away tickets.

Any other tickets after ST/AST holders go to a names out the hat method from people who have paid a deposit. Those that do not get lucky and get a ticket receive their deposit back.

as a ST holder you are guaranteed to watch 50% of the games at no additional cost than the match ticket. That's a pretty good deal?
