depends on age but

you buy cheap android tablets and you'll find the limitations very quickly

if you go amazon fire don't get the 7. load a few apps and it chugs badly. fire 8 as a minimum.

i'm an android guy but tablets would be apple.

personally you'd do far better finding a cheap ipad mini 2 onwards second hand than any android tablet.
