but there is nothing wrong with Jim's view much like there isn't anything wrong with the view that you can continue to do it on a shoe string.

The sweet spot is marrying the two and, by the end of this window, I strongly suspect that that is exactly what we will have done Lots of astute buys with half an eye on the future and one or two big money signings to plug immediate weaknesses.

That we've been able to pick up the likes of Ralf for presumably not very much bodes well. That's easily a £5m-7m+ signing we'd have been quite chuffed with. (firmly believe he'll keep us up)
