Always seem to have these players we just can;t get out don't we, regardless of what their

team is like around them.

Smith falls into this category.

I guess the reason is that they are just top class players and they do it to everyone and no doubt other fans feel/felt the same about Root, Cook etc.

Steve Smith, Graeme Smith, Hayden, Lara, Dravid, Kohli and even Pujara in recent years.

Back in the day Gilchrist Healy and Jonty Rhodes used to be a right pain and always come in and retrieve the situation just when you thought we had got on top.

England still in a good position here though and Smith will have to cut loose at some point.
