Yes - it would cost us money

Question is, is that money we should be taking? It's perfectly legal, but is it moral? As a "community club", does it cohere with our values - or are our values now "as much money as we can and stuff where it came from"? I don't think those are, or should be, our values at all.

If people weren't going to be turned on to gambling by it Dafabet wouldn't bother. Should we be taking that money? Very straightforwardly no, for me.

That would put us at odds with other clubs - but it's an opportunity to take a leadership position. In time we could bring other clubs with us. In the meantime, at least those people from our community who will be turned on to gambling by this deal, wouldn't have been.
