Depends on the company and circumstances

I took a voluntary package from one company a while back. I am now being asked whether I want to express interest in redundancy at my current company. If enough people say they want to leave and can be released, they won't have to force people out, though for some there is little prospect of redeployment in the business. As I'm too old for job hunting, I will be hanging on like grim death.
