Compromise just pisses off both sides.
I have indeed read the labour party manifesto. I read the manifestos of each party standing in my constituency. The labour manifesto says 'Labour accepts the referendum result'. 149 of their 262 seats are in leave constituencies. Tom Watson, passionate remainer, represents West Brom East, 70 percent leave. Strong opponent of brexit, Yvette Cooper represents Castleford, 68 percent leave. If these seats go to the brexit party at the next election, can this be viewed as a consequence of the disassociation between word and action of MPs elected on a promise to accept the referendum result?
Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto. Aren't they the ones with the Bourgeouisie (landowners, employers and educated) in conflict with the proletariat (tenants, workers, uneducated)? Are leavers mainly the proletariat and remainers bourgeoisie? Or did I get that wrong? Would Marx vote remain or leave?
Anyway, too many words.
