Yes, it's dreadful. Some features have been pre-alpha release quality for ages.

For example, the wiki implementation is hands-down the worst implementation of a wiki I have ever seen.

The chat and teams areas are directly lifted from Slack functionality but done really poorly.

And, under the hood, the document system is just SharePoint anyway (at least on our set-up it is: every team's document area is just a mapped name to a specific SharePoint folder. Every document can have two links to share, a Teams link and different SharePoint link)
