I thought VAR was only being used for clear and obvious infringements

So if a keeperr being a couple of inches off the line counts, why not players encroaching in the area?

One thing is for sure, the VAR isn't going to sit there and say nothing if he or she can see an opportunity to get involved.

Now the VAR will be responsible for the drama rather than the players, it would have been nice if these decisions were kept to a minimum but there's too many of them now.
