Had emailage with my Scottish football watching (Thistle supporting) mate. He said:

"Scottish young player of the year and reckon he could be very good, although early days. Motherwell fans speak very highly of him. Am a bit disappointed he’s going to you though, can’t see him getting much game time in the premiership – maybe you’ll loan him out for a year?

I’d say definitely worth a gamble for what these days is nothing transfer-wise. I have a small Andy Robertson-to-Hull feeling about it (but that’s best case of course)."

Though don't think either of us realised it was as much as £3m. So not quite nothing.
