Hint: laying out your plans in detail ahead of the negotiation, viz. "let's pretend we'd allow no deal just to force Johnny Foreigner's Hand but in secret of course we wouldn't but if we pretend we would they'd believe we wouldn't blink so they would blink first" is not how you actually do it.

Just makes you look a bit of a c**t.
