But I do feel it’s a bit of a cynical business move which didn’t need to be handled in the way it was. It’s not nice being treated like cattle even if you know the underlying need is financial and is quite possibly necessary (I obviously don’t know).
All the timing of it and surrounding events like propaganda videos, when, as Kensell told me, they had some weeks’ notice, comes over as a kind of bad news management scenario. Quite possibly a lot of us won’t be any worse off in terms of tickets and so on - the £50 may easily be recouped in cheaper tickets, there may be plenty of availability etc etc. So why not give us time to make decisions, manage money, organise dates and so on? As a ST holder for nearly 30 years and 11 away games last season, I think I have given the club and associated services more than a fair share of my wages and time, no matter what USAC says.
