A Spanish magician took the stage.

No props, no dry ice, no dramatic music: he just walked calmly to the centre of the platform, turned and faced his audience. After a pause he strode purposefully to the front of the left-hand part of the stage, raised one eyebrow and one finger and said, loudly: uno!

Then he stepped backwards, walked across to the front of the right-hand part of the stage, raised one eyebrow but two fingers and said, loudly: dos!

Finally he went back to the middle of the stage, looked straight at the audience, raised one eyebrow and three fingers - then suddenly he vanished completely from view.

He disappeared without a tres.
