I like to go to away games with my son. Correction, I love to go to away games with my son. It's real quality time that I don't get otherwise and it means the world to me. I am aware that there is a limited supply of this as he's in the Forces so we can only plan to go at very short notice due to his job.

Last season he was away on tour for 6 months so we only went to the away games at the fag end of the season. Even though he was away for the bulk of the season he (on my advice) kept his ST as I really honestly thought we were on the verge of something special early on in the season (he made 4 or 5 home games and a few away, 3 iirc). Now they've arbitrarily changed the rules and it would appear that we'd have to punt up front to enter a lottery late on, on the offchance that we both would have to win which seems very unlikely.

It's funny, they didn't mind my £££s when I was going away in the league one years.

In mitigation to the club they did send out a lovely spangly how f**king super brilliant we are video of last season on youtube yesterday. Maybe we can watch that together instead of going to a few away games. Such is life though, I guess there has to be collateral damage along the way.
