I do agree in essence with you. Totally.

But I wouldn't underestimate the blind feeling many have for the club. We're a pretty loyal lot (though many do love to moan), as you well know and the club itself is more important than the regime running it.
People made money last time they asked for funds too, so if they come a-begging again it may be beneficial to invest.
