well, you could make that argument

but even so; the status quo for the past 20 years or so has been that those groups were all rewarded with some level of priority.

And overnight that is no longer the case. Add in the fact that even the most loyal fans now have to shell out an extra £50, and it's pretty clear why people aren't happy.
