All they needed to do was give ST holders and members the same number of

Initial points under the away points system (ie don’t give ST holders 500 more automatically) and then have three or four different priority tiers depending on number of away points.

That would have been entirely fair and would not have required new memberships or new membership fees. But that’s precisely why they haven’t done it because they want the money.
