The only problem with the away points system was when

They didn’t use it when they needed to (Rotherham).

Other than that people knew the score. Was perhaps a bit unfair that season ticket holders automatically trumped someone who went to lots of away games but did t have an ST but that must have been a very small number of fans.

It’s also not acceptable to do away with the system without any notice when people have accrued points with a legitimate expectation that it will give them some priority in future years.
