Presumably the members' preferred 'winner' still has to command the support if the MPs before s/he trots off to the Queen to claim that they command the support of the government to be PM?
So constitutionally MPs still have the final say over who the PM is I think?
Eg if BoJo scraped through but the vast vast majority of MPs opposed him, and crucially stuck to their guns, he wouldnt be able to form a government and May stays in place until a vote of no conf in Parliament?
