I am extremely old and dimly recall having to point out that love is love no matter who is doing the loving and of whom quite a lot of decades ago now.

I had no idea that the bleeding obvious still needed stating.

If two men or two women holding hands or kissing is an issue for you I suggest you simply watch more of that sort of thing until it seems as routine to you as it does to the rest of us.

You’ll also need to take a view on whether you might be “protesting too much” of course. The worst homophobes are so often gay but repressing it after all.
