It's perfectly alright to feel very strongly

But the point is that every time someone calls someone else a c**t for disagreeing with them, they simply invite the same response from the other, which invites yet further escalation, and the dispute and the atmosphere around it degenerates into unnecessary violence. If and when a point is a good one, it's so much more powerful to make it without resort to abuse. Or at any rate, so it used to be thought.
