Jo Konta was born in Australia and lived there until she was 14. She also previously represented Australia until she attained British citizenship. She holds an Australian passport (as well as a British passport (on residency grounds) and a Hungarian passport (on the basis of her parents' nationality).

Given the above, a tongue in cheek comment suggesting that she might not be happy about Australia doing badly in the cricket doesn't seem entirely unreasonable does it?
