Woke up this morning to 58 whatsapp messages

From the primary school class parent whatsapp group. Someone is having a baby, so thought it appropriate to tell everyone at 12:30am, and have a nice little conversation about it with some other mum. I mean...thank god for the mute button.

When I was growing up it was thought to be inappropriate to call a house after a certain time, so why is bombarding every parent (most of whom you don't know from Adam) who is trying to sleep, with your frankly uninteresting news, now done without a thought?

Am I now Victor Meldrew or would that similarly get on your boobs?
