1. I think they got quite a lot. Some of it personal, some just plain stupid and some more well-intentioned. I’m not sure how you’d define “a lot” but I don’t see lynch mobs, mass protests and similar as necessary to qualify. Where that has happened, like Charlton, Coventry and Bolton, it’s because of existential reasons, which is a totally different area. It doesn’t mean we’re more patient.

2. Just because something is so, doesn’t make it right and doesn’t mean that you have to behave the same way. (Incidentally, Man City fans *should* be up in arms at the moment - season ticket price rises, sportswashing, and more besides. But that’s not relevant here.)
