Transfer rumours

To save you all from my "Uncle Tom Cobbley" gag every single time a rumour arises, please let's all remember how many of our actual signings last summer (for example) were correctly trailed in this fashion; how many players who were trailed in this fashion actually signed for us vs the number that didn't; that agents love to make rumours up for the obvious reasons; that journos love to make rumours up for the obvious reasons; that sometimes players themselves (unwisely) decide to hint at stuff that's not happening.

I think it's patently obvious that we have a whole greater than the sum of its parts, as Worthy did, and we're not going to repeat Worthy's mistake of wholesale changes. Going forward we're already lower-mid Prem class, though another striker wouldn't go amiss (when would that ever not be true, though) for the money we have it's very unlikely they'd be coming from a UK league. But surely far more of a priority is at the back, where we've got away with a bunch of stuff in the Champs we simply wouldn't in the Prem. We do have two incredible fullbacks of course.

I have a lot of confidence that targets are not only identified but a fair way through the funnel, as it were; some will land, some won't, and we'll find out afterwards, just like we normally do.
