Tonight I am going to hear the Nelson Mass performed in Temple Church

Beautiful music written by a German 🇩🇪 who was living in fear of conquest by the French 🇫🇷 and then write the final exultant chorus at the end of the Benedictus in the euphoria of hearing that the Frog navy had been crushed in Egypt by a British hero 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

Then I am going out to eat cicchetti 🇮🇹 and drink Italian wine in Covent Garden.

This is in no way a political post, I was merely reflecting on what a nice evening it’s going to be.
