It is a nonsense idea and I think that particular one has been proven to be false anyway.

Not everything is nonsense - herd immunity from vaccination is real and important and it can be seen that it is lost where vaccination rates are low, but that is real science. As a student of science and believer in evidence based policy, the sort of thing in your OP really gets my goat, and I'm not referring to the Golden Boot holder.
