That's why I stay with Apple...

...yeah they are all much of a muchness. I mean, Samsung is ahead in some ways, iPhone in others but in general they all do what you need. Some have better cameras in certain situations, some in others. Some higher specs but don't perform like it, some lower but are more efficient.

Huawei and HTC also in the mix.

I doubt I will but I'e certainly been more tempted to switch from iPhone to Android than I have from OSX / MacOs to Windows. There's a far bigger gap in usability and reliability between Macs and PCs than between iPhones and Android handsets these days in my opinion.

I am a little disappointed in the lack of innovation since Steve Jobs died though. I mean, I just upgraded to an iPhone XS 256GB recently (from a perfectly working iPhone 7 128GB). Cost almost twice the price I paid for the 7 two years ago and what do I get from it?

It's faster. Right. But that's always the same with an upgrade ever since my iPhone 3G. Within a week or two you no longer notice the speed.

Display is far clearer. Again, within a week or two you get used to it.

Battery lasts longer. Again - this is always the same until a few software updates and general usage later, and it still dies at the wrong possible time. Still not exactly Nokia 3310 level!

Camera is far better. Seriously I don't care much about it. If I am being arty then I use my Nikon. The quick snaps are better but I was fine with the iPhone 6 and 7 quality photos for that.

It is considerably heavier than my iPhone 7.

Face ID. Yeah it is convenient. The Touch ID drove me nuts as it was very temperamental. Not wild about the security of it though but of course can always turn it off.

Screen is bigger without the handset being anti-pocket like the old iPhone 6/7 Plus. This is seriously the one big improvement I appreciate every day.
