I can only assume you arent old enough to remember the demonstrations that helped to remove Robert Chase from power, and Chase was a man who was on the board when we won the milk cup,and was chairman for 2 FA cup semi finals, a 3rd place in the league (which if it was today would have qualified us for the champions league not just the Uefa cup) and the Uefa cup run. Yet it was still time for him to go as the direction the club was heading in under him was not healthy. Ditto today - you can't live in the past and this game has very little room for sentiment unfortunately.
