Because Everton will be knocked out by some Hungarian unpronouncables in an August qualifying round.
In fact that will make me laugh. Everton will get all puffed up about being in it ahead of Liverpool and will then proceed to make an absolute rat's cock out of the whole thing before most teams have even kicked a ball (including the European champions).
