Football will eat itself. That's simply ludicrous and in no sane world sustainable.

The bubble will burst at some point. £400k/week for kicking a ball around, however expert - that's ~57k/day, £2380/hr, £39/minute - 24/7 - or probably ~£1 each and every second the guy is awake.

This is a man who, conservatively, earns £200 taking a s**t.

It's sub-sixth-form debating to then mention what food costs the average family in, say central Africa or much of Asia. We all ignore these things routinely, daily, because we kind of have to in order to be able to get through the day.

I know our (much smaller!) wages are almost as hard to defend morally and I'm not really sure where I'm going with this.

But just, f**king hell.
