Only 16 academy teams take part

This season that included Boro, Baggies , Stoke & Swansea who aren't Prem (though three were last season ). I think it's based on finishing positions in the U23 league the previous season. Not sure how we're doing this year, but we're in Division 2 of the league so unless we're near the top I'm thinking we won't make it again
