Were rumours to that effect at the time - i.e. that Lambert thought the club

were behind dropping him in it with his wife.

Mind you the way Lambert behaved over that Villa move was appalling and obviously you have to have an affair to be grassed up anyway so i don;t have any sympathy for him if it is true. I loved him during the time he was our manager but that man has no loyalty or sentimental attachment to any club and is only in it for himself. You can see him now going through the PR motions at sc*m and they are lapping it up.
