I think Puel is using him wrong...

He's better playing a bit deeper so he can get in the game and use his ability with the play in front of him to pick a pass or commit a man.

Instead, Puel insists with playing two spoilers behind him so he has to play high and doesn't get anywhere near as much ball and doesn't have any midfielders running beyond him in the central positions.
