Press news in...

We're all set at Colney. A tad more interest in this weekend's presser ahead of the top of the table clash tomorrow. Updates to come...

-------------------------------------------------------------------

DF: As a player and a supporter, you always look forward to these games. These games are the games why you start playing football.

DF: We know that we face a really good side. It will be a difficult game but we're looking forward to it. We want to play some good football.

DF: The Championship is a marathon. There's no coincidence that us and Leeds are at the top, it's deserved. It's two good sides and hopefully we see some good football.

DF: If you lose the game, we don't have to be too concerned. It's three points like every other game. A win would be good for self-confidence.

DF: The first 35 minutes in the previous game, we played them off the park. But it's also a sign that football isn't always fair. They scored with their first shot and ended up winning. The result was comfortable but it was a close game.

DF: We have 46 games in the Championship and we always talk before each game as being a very important game. It's not season-defining.

DF: I'm full of respect for Marcelo Bielsa. He's doing a fantastic job. Every manager has their own methods but I'm just concentrated on my team, our style and our topics.

DF: We know everything about Leeds. We've analysed them, what style they play. Perhaps there are one or two questions marks, even after Bielsa naming the team two days ago. It has no meaning at all, the spy topic.

DF: [Their form] is a sign that anything can happen. They are not unbeatable. We don't have to travel and be scared. We are full of respect for them but we know we can win points against them.

DF: The letter sent to the EFL about the spying is not my topic. It doesn't have any meaning for us. I'm not interested in what happens with that. On the other hand, I totally understand why the club is asking the EFL for this information. They want to know why this behaviour is allowed or okay. I understand that.

DF: I think we are much better since the last game v Leeds. We had lots of defensive injuries in that game. The starting eleven is completely different to the one we've had recently. We've only had one defeat in the last four months. We know we have to be at our best to be competitive tomorrow.

DF: It was a signing for the summer [Heise] but big compliments to Stuart Webber, it's a brilliant piece of business. We are a bit weak in the full-back position because Jamal Lewis is the only option. We can't spend an unbelievable amount of money. It was a brilliant piece of business, it's more like mid/long-term support for the squad. Philip has played a lot in Germany this season so he can help in in the last third of the season.

DF: Heise won't travel with us to Leeds. He's not been here long and the travelling squad has been good recently. Alex Tettey is available for tomorrow and he is back in the squad.

DF: It was a quiet deadline day. You always have to be switched on and we tried to search for high quality solutions to strengthen our squad. But we don't have the finances to do it. I'm totally pleased with our squad.

DF: No one from Ipswich spoke with me about Ivo. I'm not sure he would even think of going there. He was thinking about a move to a foreign country but his heart is yellow.

DF: Timm and Moritz are improving. It's difficult to predict when Timm can join us. He could join us on Wednesday. Moritz did some passing with the team and he is improving. They aren't involved tomorrow. Everyone else is good.

DF: I think other clubs respect our way. We know we have had three difficult seasons. We had to sell our best players and big compliments to the board and Stuart Webber for helping the club through it. I would prefer to be able to spend £10 million on a midfielder. But if you don't have the money, you have to use the tools you have. We have a big togetherness and players who our proud to wear the shirt. We know other clubs are the favourites to be at the top. We know we are probably overachieving. But we are trying to create something special.

DF: You have to believe in what you are doing. We are happy with the situation but not surprised. We had big hopes in our signings, we believed Teemu Pukki would score goals and we believed Emi Buendia would do well.

That wraps things up at Colney. Plenty more Leeds content on canaries.co.uk over the next 24 hours.
